Motorcycle and cycle tyre and tube repair
The small end of the trade: tube patches, short levers, a bead breaker sized for a motorcycle and the chucks that fit cycle valves.
What this work involves
Two wheeler repair is high volume, low value work done at speed, often at a roadside stall with no compressor and no machine. What it needs is small, cheap, reliable consumables and hand tools that do not depend on power.
It is also the work that keeps a cycle shop and a village puncture stall in business, and it uses a genuinely different set of our products from the truck bay.

How they are used
The wheel comes off, the bead is broken - by hand with a rack and lever bead breaker on a motorcycle tyre - and the tyre is levered off with a short flat lever.
The tube is inflated to find the leak, buffed around it with a wire brush, and a tube patch of a suitable shape is rolled down with a stitcher. A small round patch for a round puncture, a small oval for a slit.
Reinflation is done with a foot pump where there is no compressor, or off a line with a two way chuck that fits both cycle and scooter valves.
Who this is for
Cycle shops, two wheeler mechanics, roadside and village puncture stalls, e-rickshaw and three wheeler fleet operators, and the hardware and cycle distributors who supply them.
Choosing between them
Match the patch shape to the injury rather than buying one shape for everything: our tube patches are offered as Mini Patch, Tiny Round, Mini Round, Small Round and Small Oval.
The 12 inch flat lever is the right length here. The longer commercial levers are unwieldy on a small wheel and will mark a rim.
The bead breaker is a hand operated rack and lever tool with two shoes, made for motorcycle tyres. It is not a substitute for a machine on a larger casing.
